8.3.2 Checking the safety function
circlip
After mounting the support arms, check the engagement
function.
The locking mechanism should engage smoothly so that
the teeth of the lock ring and toothed segment mesh with
each other (see picture).

Note 1: For technical reasons, it could happen that one
tooth of the toothed segments rests on the locking ring
when locking and therefore the articulated arm lock does
not engage. A slight horizontal movement of the support
arm should then engage the lock.
Note 2: The locking device is adjusted and checked at
the factory during final assembly.
Lower securing pin
If, however, the locking mechanism only engages with
of the support arm
difficulty during assembly of the support arm, it can be
pin
readjusted by an expert on site. To do this, first loosen the
four screws of the toothed locking ring. The slight play be-
tween the toothed locking ring and the support arm bolts is
usually sufficient to increase the distance between the teeth
and allow the locking mechanism to move more smoothly.
Afterwards, the screws of the toothed locking ring must be
reattached and tightened with a torque of 25 Nm.
The support arm bolts must be
secured on both sides, otherwise
there is no reliable connection
between the lift carriage and the
support arm.
CAUTION! DO NOT grease the
teeth of the locking ring and
toothed segment!
Dirt could get stuck in the grease
and affect the function of the lock-
ing mechanism.
