1.0 INTRODUCTION
RC10/RC14 allow the operator to control the GSM series GENE-
SIS power sources.
The RC10 permits setting of welding parameters and modes in
MMA, TIG, MIG/MAG SHORT/SPRAY-ARC and MIG PULSED
welding.
The RC14 also permits MIG/MAG, SHORT/SPRAY-PULSED and
MIG DOUBLE PULSED welding.
RC10/RC14 also permit setting of the MIG/MAG parameters via
selection of the wire speed, amperage and thickness.
It is equipped with a 6-metre, fibre optic cable, that allows it to
be used a long way from the generator.
Setting the data is done through an easy-to-use keyboard; the
parameters and measurements are shown by means of a large-
dimension graphic display, via a complete and simple user inter-
face.
RC10/RC14 are provided with a memory card reader allowing
each operator to directly store and use a set of customised wel-
ding parameters. It also has the option of memorising within it a
high number of welding programs.
2.0 INSTALLATION
After the completion of the setting-up operations for the genera-
tor, with the generator turned off, join up the connector of the
RC10/RC14 system to the socket J2 of the generator, by screwing
right down the connecting ring nut. By using the on/off switch of
the generator you can turn on the power to the RC10/RC14 con-
trol, which then starts the self-test procedure. In the display, will
appear, in order, a page showing the "SELCO" logo and the test
page. The self-test procedure of the RC10/RC14 control checks
that communications with the generator are operating correctly, it
identifies the model and sets up in suitable mode; it also checks
the operation of the main components of the system. In case of
malfunction, the display shows the probable cause of error.

3.0 DESCRIPTION OF USER INTERFACE
Display Y1: alphanumeric, liquid crystal display.
Constantly shows the welding parameters set and the status of the
machine.
Key T1: activates the data changing procedure
Key T2: enables the reading of the welding current and voltage to
be displayed.
Key T3: allows the control menu to be used for the programs
through which it is possible to memorize new programs, and call
up or cancel programs already held in the memory.
The maximum number of programs that can be memorized is 60.
The latest status of the machine is memorized and restored on
being turned on again.
Key T4: allows you to cancel an operation or return to the pre-
vious menu.
Keys T5: numerical keypad with ENTER key for confirming the
data entered.
Keys T6: keys to increase and decrease the welding voltage in the
MIG/MAG process and for modifying data in general.
Also used to select items from a menu and for modifying data.
Keys T7: keys for increasing and decreasing the wire speed, cur-
rent and thickness in MIG/MAG and the welding current in MMA
and TIG.
Keys T8: these are the function keys F1, F2, F3,F4, and F5, which
take on different meanings depending on the operating situation.
