7.2 Electrical connection
Danger! Danger of death!
A fatal shock may occur if the electrical connec-
tion is not made correctly.
Only allow the electrical connection to be made
by an electrician approved by the local electric-
ity supply company and in accordance with the
local regulations in force.
• The type of mains, current and voltage of the
mains connection must match the details on the
type plate of the pump/motor to be connected.
• Mains requirements:
NOTE: In accordance with EN / IEC 61000-3-11
(see table below), the switchgear and pump with
motor power of ... kW (column 1) are provided for
operation on a mains power supply with a system
3~400 V

• Provide fuse protection on mains side (max. 16 A,
slow) as well as an FI safety switch in accordance
with the regulations in force.
• Feed the ends of the pump cable through the
cable screw fittings and cable inlets and wire them
according to the markings on the terminal strip.
• Ground the pump/system according to regula-
tions.
• The terminal strip is to be connected as follows:

impedance of Z
at the house connection of
max
max. ... Ohm (column 2) for a maximum number of
... switchings (column 3).
If the mains impedance and the number of switch-
ings per hour is greater than the values given in
the table, because of the unfavourable mains con-
nections, the switchgear with the pump may lead
to temporary voltage drops and also to disturbing
voltage fluctuations, or flickering.
Therefore, measures may be necessary before the
switchgear with pump can be operated correctly
on this connection. The necessary information
must be obtained from the electricity supply com-
pany and the manufacturer.

Mains connection 1~230 V (L, N, PE):
The mains is connected via a shock-proof plug for
a socket in accordance with VDE 0620.
Mains connection 3~400 V (L1, L2, L3, PE):
The mains is connected via a CEE plug for a CEE
socket in accordance with VDE 0623.
Motor contactor (terminals 2/T1, 4/T2, 6/T3)
The pump is connected directly to the motor con-
tactor at the terminals 2/T1, 4/T2 and 6/T3
