This procedure must be done with a running fan. Then the negative pressure in the working area will
stay. This is an extra safety aspect. Since this procedure can be done in a short time, the extra pollution
of the HEPA filters will be low.
This procedure is described for a right-hand orientated person. The described left hand may be changed
for a right hand and right for left hand as long as this is done consistently (this procedure needs
consistence due to contamination danger).
Supplies needed:
Plastic bag (minimum measurement 75x50 cm with closure).
Two pair of gloves.
Tape.
Possible disposing requirements.
New pre-filter.
Procedure:
a) Switch on the unit.
b) Make sure that the window is in the working position and that there are no alarms.
c) Put on two pair of gloves.
d) Lift up the segmented worktop to the left of the chamber, in order to reach the prefilter. (Fig. 1)
e) Fold the edge of the plastic bag ±10 cm and place the opening of the plastic bag inside the front
aperture with your left hand. (Fig. 2)
f) Position the plastic bag on the armrest.
g) Pull the pre-filter from its frame with your right hand.
h) Roll the filter up (still with your right hand). (Fig. 3)
i) Put the filter into the plastic bag. (Fig. 4)
j) Fold back the edge of the plastic bag, taking off your right glove and introducing it in the bag, not
touching the inner side of the plastic bag. (Fig. 5)
k) Press the air out of the bag (with its opening still in the working space).
l) Seal the plastic bag airtight.
m) Remove the plastic bag and place it in an appropriate container.
n) Put the segmented worktop at the right and, using the right hand, introduce and place the new pre-
filter in the frame. (Fig. 6)
o) Put the segmented worktop back in its position.
p) Take off the gloves and dispose them away in the appropriate container.
