CAUTION!
Pulling off of the HG-VCI PC when actuating the clutch
Risk of injury or material damages
Proceed as follows before startup:
1. Apply the parking brake.
2. No gear is engaged.
3. Regard the window with information and instructions.
NOTICE
Danger of short circuit and voltage peaks when connecting the HG-VCI PC
Danger of destruction of automotive electronics
Switch off ignition before connecting the HG-VCI PC to the vehicle.
4. Insert the HG-VCI PC into the vehicle's diagnostic connection.
ð Both LEDs of the HG-VCI PC flash.
ð The HG-VCI PC is ready for operation.
5. Insert the USB cable into the USB port of the laptop/tablet.
ð Connection is being established. Laptop/tablet is being connected to the vehicle via HG-VCI PC.
6. Switch on the vehicle ignition.
7. Observe the manufacturer's specifications.
8. Select Start > All Programs > Hella Gutmann Solutions > HGS PassThru communication.
9. Select the requested language.
10. Start the communication test with >Start test<.
ð The communication test is being started. Connection between laptop/tablet and HG-VCI PC is being tested.
ð The connection between laptop/tablet and HG-VCI PC is active if the left row of arrows is green.
ð The connection between HG-VCI PC and vehicle is tested afterwards.
ð The connection between HG-VCI PC and vehicle is active if the right row of arrows is green.
ð The connection between laptop/tablet and vehicle via HG-VCI PC is successfully established now.
11. Finish the communication test with >Finish<.
12. Call up the requested manufacturer website online with the laptop/tablet.
13. Follow the instructions on the manufacturer portal.
14. Select PassThru (HG-VCI PC) of Hella Gutmann.
