Once the connections described above have been made (See "Installation"), check to make sure
the tyre changer works properly by carrying out the following procedures:
1) Press pedal (1, Fig. E) down to its middle position (see Fig. F): the turntable (2, Fig. E) should turn
clockwise at the low speed; press the pedal all the way down (see Fig. F): the turntable should turn
clockwise at high speed; pull the pedal up (see Fig. F): the turntable should turn anticlockwise.

moves down to facilitate placing the head against the rim edge.
Press the button (Fig. F/1) down (C): the working arms (10-11, Fig. E) lock simultaneously and the
head automatically moves 2 mm away from the rim edge (see chapter on demounting).
Press the button (Fig. F/1) down (A) from inside: the working arms unlock simultaneously and the
vertical arm lifts (10, Fig. E).
6) Check that a drop of oil drops into the lubricator glass cup (12, Fig. E) after every two or three
movements of the footpedals (3 or 5, Fig. E).

pedal (3, Fig. E): the bead loosener will close.
3) Depress the pedal all the way down (5, Fig. E): the four clamps (6, Fig. E) on the
turntable will open. When the pedal is depressed again, the clamps should close.
4) Depress the pedal (7, Fig. E) to bring the horizontal arm (11, Fig. E) to its "non-
working" position.
Depress the pedal again to bring the horizon-
tal arm to its "working" position again.

5) Move the button (Fig. F/1) to its middle
position (B): the vertical arm (10, Fig. E)
Oil feed may be regulated by means of the lubricator
adjusting screw (see Fig. F/2).
7) Activate the inflation pedal (Fig. F/3): air must flow
out of the inflation head.
8) Push the control lever (29, Fig. E) downwards: this should make the leverless mount hook (see
Fig. F/4) move; by pulling the control lever up the hook should go back to the rest position (see
Fig. F/5).
9) Push the control lever (3, Fig. E) up: the PT arm (1, Fig. E) should lift; push the lever down:
the PT arm should lower.

10) Move the PT arm (1, Fig. E) to the centre of the turntable: the arm should lock in this position;
when pressing the button (5, Fig. E) the arm should be free to return to the rest position.
11) Push back the lower arm locking lever (25, Fig. E): the arm should be locked; pull the lever
forward: the arm should be free to rotate.
