3.1.3 SIM card slot for modem
If it is necessary to change the GSM provider, then the
SIM card can be removed from the SIM card slot (pull
out, not automatically ejected by a spring) and an altern-
ative SIM card can be inserted. Prerequisites for using a
SIM card:
– Form factor 3FF (micro SIM)
– Service M2M without PIN, provider enabled
3.1.4 LAN
For connecting the charging station to the network in-
frastructure at the installation location. The charging sta-
tion can be configured and controlled using this connec-
tion (prerequisite: connection to the back end or to the
local power management system). A category 5e net-
work cable or higher is recommended.
3.1.5 USB type B
Connecting in slave mode for making a USB connection
to a computer for the configuration. When connected to
a computer, this USB connection functions like a net-
work interface, and is used to open the web configura-
tion interface.

3.1.6 WLAN
After completing the start process of the charging sta-
tion, you have the option to connect a WLAN-enabled
computer or mobile device to the charging station hot
spot (see online configuration instructions: https://
webasto-charging.com/documentation)
Only the configuration interface can be opened using
the established connection.
3.1.7 Control cable (Control Pilot)

CP connection (push-in terminal)
There also is a data line in the charging cable together
with the power supply lines and is known as a CP (con-
trol pilot) line. This line (black-white) is inserted into the

push-in terminal on the CP connection . This applies
to installing the original charging cable and also to repla-
cing the charging cable.

The connections of the mains cable are marked with
"IN". The 5 terminals on the left have L1/L2/L3/N/PE
printed on them
The connections of the charging cable are marked with
"OUT". The 5 terminals on the right have PE/N/L1/L2/L3
printed on them
NOTE
To release the power supply connections, use an insulated
flat-head screwdriver by inserting it into the opening for
this purpose immediately above push-in terminal.

Electricity meter

With the integrated MID-compliant power meter, it is
possible to measure power consumption by loading with
the Webasto Live. The calibration date for the power
meter can be found on the type plate on the charging
station, below the CE mark. When using the power
meter, pay careful attention to the country-specific legal
calibration stipulation.
