Authentication at the charging station
Authorisation for starting the charging cycle is carried out
electronically using the RFID technology or directly when
connecting the charging cable to the electric vehicle by
means of data transmission in the charging cable accord-
ing to ISO 15118.
When authorisation is by means of RFID (Radio Frequency
Identification Device), hold the supplied RFID dongle to
the symbol on the charging station.
Both of the supplied RFID dongles are already enabled for
authorising at the charging station. Additional RFID
dongles can be added and deleted in the configuration
interface. (see online configuration instructions: https://
webasto-charging.com/documentation).
Successful RFID authorising is signaled on the charging
station with an acoustically and visually with display pat-
tern C6. See Fig. 10
32
An RFID is not needed when the data connection in the
charging cable is used for authorisation as per ISO 15118.
Of course, this method assumes an ISO 15118-compatible
electric vehicle.

Maintenance, cleaning, repair
10.1
Maintenance
Have maintenance carried out only by an electrician in ac-
cordance with local requirements.
10.2
Cleaning
DANGER
High voltages.
Danger of fatal electric shock. Never clean the charging
station with a high-pressure cleaner or similar device.
u
Clean the installation only with a dry cloth. Do not use
aggressive cleaning agents, wax or solvents.
10.3
Repair
Unauthorised repair of the charging station is not permit-
ted. In case of failure, the complete charging station must
be replaced.
Webasto Thermo & Comfort SE reserves the exclusive
right to perform repairs to the charging station.
The only repair to the charging station that is permitted is
to have the charging cable replaced by an electrician.
NOTE
The charging cable can be replaced a maximum of 4 times
over the lifetime of the charging station.
11
Disposal
The symbol of the crossed-out waste bin in-
dicates that this electrical/electronic device
must not be disposed of in household waste
at the end of its service life. Dispose of the
device free of charge at a local collection
point for electrical/electronic devices. Ad-
dresses can be obtained from your city or
local authority. Separate collection of elec-
trical and electronic devices enables re-use,
material recycling or other forms of re-utilisa-
tion of waste equipment while also avoiding
the negative effects of hazardous substances
which may be contained in the devices on
the environment and for human health.
u
Dispose of packaging in corresponding recycling con-
tainer in accordance with national regulations.
Austria:
The EAG-VO ordinance in Austria incorporated EU law on
waste electronic and electrical equipment into national le-
gislation. This ordinance ensures that private households
have the opportunity to return waste electronic and elec-
trical equipment (WEEE) to public collection points free of
charge. It is no longer permitted to dispose of WEEE in
mixed municipal waste; instead, these must be handed in
at the designated collection points. This allows function-
ing equipment to be reused, or valuable constituent parts
of broken equipment to be recycled. The aim of this is to
contribute to more efficient use of resources and more
sustainable development. Moreover, it is only through
separate collection that hazardous elements of the equip-
ment (such as CFCs or mercury) can undergo sufficient
treatment, thereby avoiding negative impacts on the en-
vironment and human health. There are municipal and
manufacturer systems available for return and collection
of your waste household equipment free of charge. An
overview of available collection points can be found on
