TROUBLESHOOTING
Symptom
The LEDs of the power supply do not
illuminate when the unit is switched
on
No irrigation flow when the foot pedal
is pressed
No ultrasound oscillations when the
foot pedal is pressed
Ultrasound power decreasing or
inadequate
Water leaks between the handpiece
cord and the handpiece
Only Piezon 250:
Water leaks from the bottle or the
device
Insufficient lighting of the handpiece

Solution
•
Check that the mains cord of the power supply is properly connected to the mains supply
•
Check the power supply of the dental office
•
Turn the power knob of the unit to ON and check if the LED is lit
•
Replace the transformer
•
Send the unit and the accessories to an approved EMS repair center
•
Turn the liquid flow rate knob to the maximum
•
Make sure that water comes in external device for the Piezon 150
•
Make sure that the bottle is properly installed for the Piezon 250
•
Disconnect the ultrasound handpiece and check that the liquid exits from the cord
•
Use compressed air (max. 3 bar) and check that air comes out of the handpiece
•
If the air does not come out of the handpiece send to an approved EMS repair center
•
Replace the water filter for the Piezon 150
•
Replace the pump head for the Piezon 250
•
Check the connection of the foot pedal
•
Replace the foot pedal
•
Send the unit and the accessories to an approved EMS repair center
•
Check that the handpiece is connected to the handpiece cord
•
Control that the instrument is tight
•
Check that the instrument is not cracked
•
Check the connection of the foot pedal
•
Replace the foot pedal
•
Send the unit and the accessories to an approved EMS repair center
•
Check that the selector is beyond the position 4
•
Control that the instrument is tight
•
Check the wear of the instrument and replace if necessary
•
Replace the handpiece
