WARNING!
The user must ensure that the ear-muff or the ear-muff/safety helmet combination:
- is fitted properly and maintained in accordance with these instructions
- is worn at all times in noisy surroundings
- is inspected regularly for serviceability
If the recommendations given are not adhered to, the protection afforded by the ear-muffs can be severely impaired.
Ear-muffs should be worn at all times in noisy areas and be fitted prior to entering the noise area.
The fitting of hygiene covers to the cushions may affect the acoustic performance of the ear-muffs.
This product may be adversely affected by certain chemical substances. Further information should be sought from the
manufacturer.
Remember that hearing protectors can generally shut out external ambient sounds, such as warning shouts, alarms
and other important signals. You should therefore be especially watchful of your surroundings when wearing a hearing
protector.
Dispose of the product in accordance with national legislation
ATTENUATION DATA (Table 1)
The sound attenuation values for the hearing protector are measured in accordance with EN 24869-1. Please refer to
Table 1 for further information.
Key:
f = Frequencies at which attenuation is measured, Mf = Mean value, sf = Standard deviation, APV (Mf–sf) = Assumed
Protection Value
H = High frequency attenuation value (predicted noise level reduction for noise where L
M = Medium frequency attenuation value (predicted noise level reduction for noise where L
L = Low frequency attenuation value (predicted noise level reduction for noise where L
SNR = Single Number Rating (the value that is subtracted from the measured C-weighted sound pressure level, L
order to estimate the effective A-weighted sound level inside the ear)
W = Weight
HELMET/EAR-MUFF COMBINATIONS (Table 2)
Please refer to Table 2 for further information. The table shows to which size range each helmet/ear-muff combination is
classified. It also shows which ear-muff adaptor to use for each helmet.
Key:
S = Small size range, M = Medium size range, L = Large size range
* Type number is to be found on the backside of the ear-muff adaptor, see illustration D.
