Power supply details
An FI circuit breaker is provided to install AHT
cabinets in the supermarket when the electrical
installation is done. No more than 2 cabinets must be
connected to a safety device like this. One safety
device for each cabinet is preferable. 2 cabinets can
be supplied for each safety device with a combination
of a fuse and circuit breaker (LS/ FI circuit breaker).

each cabinet.
Should this suggestion not be acceptable, the
following maximum specifications must be used:
Safety fuse
A safety fuse with a 16A fuse with C characteristic
must be provided for AHT cabinets.
A maximum of 2 cabinets to 1 fuse is permissible.
However, in order to achieve the highest possible
operational safety, we suggest that each chest has its
own fuse.
FI circuit breaker
It is strongly recommended that you use FI circuit
breakers. You must ensure that the type G circuit
breaker used must be surge-protected.
We suggest that the circuit breaker has the following
capacity:

A separate safety fuse is appropriate for the lighting
for AHT cabinets.
Load dropping switches and cabinet cut off switches
are not permitted because malfunctions could occur
as a result.
Should these safety guidelines not be observed
claims under the guarantee and/or for damages will
not be entertained.

Start-up and function
Before being started up (after installation – see chapter
0), the cabinet must reach a minimum temperature of
+16°C (60.8°F) otherwise the cabinet must be brought
up to normal room temperature.
WARNING:
When
connected up (plug in mains plug – see chapter 6),
the cooling unit starts to function immediately.

When in freezing mode, the interior temperature (see
section 9 Temperature setting and monitoring system -
Recommended storage temperatures) required for the
frozen goods will be reached once the cabinet has been
operated for between 1 and 2 hours. The pre-chilled
cold goods can then be placed in the cabinet.
When in minced meat mode, the interior temperature
(see section 9 Temperature setting and monitoring
system - Recommended storage temperatures) required
LS/FI
for storing minced meat will be reached once the
cabinet has been operated for between 4 and 5 hours.
This 'initial' operating period is needed in order to
comply with the strict statutory temperature ranges for
storing minced meat. The goods can now be placed in
the cabinet.
WARNING: Do not stand on or load the
glass cover.
The glass covers are not intended as aids for
climbing up to shelves above or as storage areas
for various objects and are not designed to take
such loads.
WARNING: Condensed water is produced whenever
effective chilling takes place and/or any dampness
in the air is frozen on to the chilled surfaces.
operator must therefore defrost the cabinet at
regular intervals.
The cabinet's function is not restricted by any bulges
arising during operations.
If a product grille is fitted, this is absolutely essential to
the cabinet's function and must not be removed. The
spaces between the grille and inner panels of the
cabinet are needed for air circulation and must not be
used to store goods.
Cabinets may only be filled up to the stacking marks.
The top stacking mark applies to the freezer section.
The bottom stacking mark applies to meat mode. The
set storage temperature is not guaranteed if filled to
beyond the stacking mark.
WARNING: Cabinets must not be operated without
a cover or with an open cover.
All cabinets are fitted with glass covers as standard.
The covers are needed to ensure correct operation of
the cabinet. They should only be opened for loading
and removing goods.

The thermostat is set in the factory so that an interior
temperature of –18°C (0°F) is reached.
The interior temperature of the (-) model range can be
adjusted in the freezer section to between around
– 13°C (0°F) and –23°C (-9°F) by adjusting the
thermostat.
