The phases of the charging process are shown as follows:
Standby:
The background lighting is blue. Ready to charge
a battery.
Charging process: After the charger has contacted, it starts to
charge the battery after 3 - 10 seconds, as deter-
mined by the random generator.
Charging ended: Automatic termination of the charging process
by the charger. Total charging time is shown in the
centre of the display. Final charging voltage / final
charging current and battery temperature (if the op-
tional external temperature sensor is used) remain
displayed. The charger switches to automatic
top-up charging, to compensate for self-discharge
of the battery.
Fault:
A spanner symbol indicates a fault during charging
(see fault codes).
8. Measurement of Air Pressure
(trak® air/trak® eco only)
Throughout the entire charging process, a micro controller with inte-
gral pressure sensor monitors the air system, including pump and
battery hoses.

Blue - Standby
(displayed values of a lead-acid battery)
The charger is in standby mode and awaits a battery for char-
ging. The programmed rated voltage and current may be read in
the upper part of the display. Hopp 3 describes the specified
charging characteristic, in this case trak® eco
2.15 V/C

Green - charging ended
The charger has charged the battery. The 'Full Battery' symbol
indicates that the charging process has been completed.
Charging time was 7 h 45 min. The end-of-charge values were
2.15 V/C and 0 A at 30º C electrolyte temperature.

The sensors checks:
• whether the system is blocked (e.g. a pipe is blocked with debris,
or 'kinked')
• whether the system is not connected (e.g. a pipe is split, or the
battery is not equipped with an electrolyte circulation system).
• whether the system has a leak within the hose connection or the
plug connector.
If a fault is found in the system, the charger automatically reacts as
follows:
The charging factor is adjusted automatically, so that the battery
will be fully charged and damage through insufficient charging will
be avoided. Also, fault code E06, E16 or E26 will appear on the LCD
panel (see fault codes).
It is possible to interrupt the charger after a programmed number
of fault measurements. This feature is set as standard to protect
the battery. (After 7 fault measurements, the charger switches off
and the LCD panel shows E09, or the power LED line turns red).

Red - Fault
(displayed values of a lead-acid battery)
The charger has a fault, indicated by the fault code E01 and by
the spanner symbol. Here the charger has identified a deep-
discharged battery
