1. Raise the foot end push handles before you operate the scale system option.
2. Press and hold Z Z e e r r o o until r r e e l l displays on the screen to zero the scale. 0 0 0 0 0 0 . . 0 0 flashes and then stops flashing.
N N o o t t e e - - The scale is not ready for use until the 0 0 0 0 0 0 . . 0 0 stops flashing.
3. Place the patient on the product.
4. Press l l b b / / k k g g to select the unit of measure (lb or kg).
5. Press W W e e i i g g h h to obtain the patient's weight.
N N o o t t e e - - The patient's weight displays for 40 seconds.

3. For scale without Chaperone, press and hold l l b b / / k k g g and Z Z e e r r o o until r r e e l l displays to select U U n n i i t t L L o o c c .
4. For scale with C C h h a a p p e e r r o o n n e e , press and hold l l b b / / k k g g and Z Z e e r r o o to select U U n n i i t t L L o o c c .
5. Press l l b b / / k k g g or Z Z e e r r o o to toggle to l l b b , k k g g , or A A n n y y .
6. Press and release l l b b / / k k g g and Z Z e e r r o o . O O n n l l y y and the selected unit of measure displays.
N N o o t t e e - - O O n n l l y y will not appear if you select A A n n y y .
7. Press and hold W W e e i i g g h h until q q u u i i t t displays.
8. Press and hold Z Z e e r r o o until r r e e l l displays. 0 0 0 0 0 0 . . 0 0 flashes and then stops flashing.
N N o o t t e e - - The scale is not ready for use until the 0 0 0 0 0 0 . . 0 0 stops flashing.

When armed, the C C h h a a p p e e r r o o n n e e option monitors the patient's position on the product.
To arm and disarm the C C h h a a p p e e r r o o n n e e option:
1. With the patient on the product, press A A r r m m / / D D i i s s a a r r m m .
N N o o t t e e - - This arms Zone 1. Zone 1 illuminates amber when applied.
2. To arm Zone 2, press A A r r m m / / D D i i s s a a r r m m twice within 3 seconds.
N N o o t t e e - - This arms Zone 2. Zone 2 illuminates amber when applied.
3. To disarm the C C h h a a p p e e r r o o n n e e option, press and hold A A r r m m / / D D i i s s a a r r m m .
N N o o t t e e - - You must zero the scale before you arm the C C h h a a p p e e r r o o n n e e option.
N N o o t t e e - - If the patient moves outside of the limits of the selected zone, an amber light flashes, A A l l r r t t flashes in the scale system
option display, and a sound alarm is triggered.

To change the C C h h a a p p e e r r o o n n e e option alert pattern:
1. Press and hold both A A r r m m / / D D i i s s a a r r m m and W W e e i i g g h h together for approximately 6 seconds. Ignore all display messages until
P P t t r r n n appears on the display ( Scale icon/button identification (page 29)).
2. Release the A A r r m m / / D D i i s s a a r r m m and W W e e i i g g h h buttons.
N N o o t t e e - - The pattern setting P P ( ( 1 1 - - 1 1 0 0 ) ) appears on the display.
3. Press A A r r m m / / D D i i s s a a r r m m or W W e e i i g g h h to scroll through the pattern options.
N N o o t t e e - - A brief sample of the pattern plays as you scroll through the pattern options.
