Note: Once "Installed", there is no need to "wake up" the system before another intended sequence.
Managers and Standard users will be required to change their combination upon first use.
3.5.2.2 Install with a Preconfigured User
Using the Install with preconfigured users offers a short cut which auto-executes Master Combination Change,
the install command, and adds a Manager (user ID 01) all with one command sequence. This short cut can only
be executed under specific conditions:
The Keypad and Lock are not currently installed. (The lock has not been installed or has been reset.)
•
User 01 is not currently assigned to a user.
•
Master User must still have the factory default combination.
•
This short cut is recommended when the system will be used in these conditions:
System Combination Length set to default of 6 characters.
•
User with ID 01 will be a "Manager User" with "Open" and "Audit Capabilities"
•
New user combination will be 123456 and should be changed upon first use.
•
Note: If the system combination length is changed, the user combination must be reset to accommodate the
correct character length.
Follow these steps to "INSTALL" (logically, electronically pair) a safe lock with a Preconfigured User to a non-
OLED Display Keypad:
1. Push any key to wake up the system in factory mode- it will beep and display the red function indicator
light for 10 seconds. The system is awake and the "1" key will open the lock, or the keypad is ready to
process "#" set-up commands.

b) With the system awake, do the following:

The lock is now Installed (paired with the keypad) and User 01 has been added. The Keypad will beep
three times with a green LED.
Enter the pound sign (#) followed by the number 50. The keypad will respond with 3 high
beeps and 3 green LED flashes.
Press a key to wake the keypad again. The keypad will produce a beep and the red LED
will illuminate, indicating you must change your combination. Enter the pound sign (#)
followed by the number 52, the default Master ID and Combination [00 12345678], the
Master ID and a new Combination [00 _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _], the Master ID and the new
Combination (to confirm the new combo) [00 _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _], then press the <return key>
(←). The keypad will respond with 3 high beeps and 3 green LED flashes.
The keypad will beep and display the red function indicator light for 10 seconds. During
this 10-second period, press the pound sign (#) followed by the number 22, the Master ID
and new Combination [00 _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _], then press the <return key> (←). The keypad will
respond with 3 high beeps and 3 green LED flashes.
