DEF FLUID DOSING CONTROL UNIT (DCU BOX) FILTER REPLACEMENT
IMPORTANT
Before replacing the filter, turn off
the engine by turning the ignition key
located on the instrument panel of the
vehicle where the engine is installed to
the OFF position.
Remove the ignition key.
Wait at least 6 minutes and disconnect
the negative battery cable.
Allow the engine to cool down adequately
to avoid the risk of burns and scalds.
To replace the filter proceed as follows:
1 - Loosen the plug cap (A) fig 1.
2 - Remove the filter cartridge (B) fig. 2.
3 - Clean the filter seat (B) fig. 2 and the
DEF liquid dosing unit (DCU box) with
distilled or demineralised water.
Remove any impurities with a clean, lint-
free cloth.
4 - Lubricate the seals of the new filter
cartridge (B) fig. 2 with demineralised
water.
5 - Insert the new filter cartridge (B) fig.2
inside the DEF fluid dosing control unit
(DCU box).
6 - Tighten the plug cap (A) fig. 1 with
tightening torque of Nm 20.
CAUTION - PRECAUTION
Do not lubricate any part of the filter
with oils or fuel.

relevant legislation in force.

If necessary, contact the manufacturer
of the vehicle in which the engine is
installed or a workshop authorised by
VM MOTORI FCA ITALY.
