l. Unscrew the wing nut, remove the air filter housing and check whether the two cores are not damaged. Replace if necessary.
a) Foam filter: clean it with household detergents and warm water (non-flammable substances or solvents with high flash point) and dry, then immerse in
clean engine oil until saturated. Squeeze out any excess oil. Otherwise, the engine will produce smoke when starting.
b) Paper filter: hit the core against a stable object/surface to get rid of accumulated dust or blow the dust from the inside with a high-pressure air stream
(no more than 30 Psi). Never brush with a brush as such movement can push the dust into the core fiber. If the core is very dirty, replace it with a new one.
2. Clean the dust collector: unscrew the three special half-circle screws and remove the dust collector, wash the parts with water and dry. Reinstall.
