FITTING
1/ Check that the brake removable stop is in the
open position.
2/ Position the removable stop in its housing,
against the composite wall of the frame.
3/ Tighten the tension screw to 1 Nm until the
stop is completely held in its housing. (Fig 5.2)
Attention! Excessive tightening of the
tension screw can lead to damage to the
screw threads or retaining spring. Stop
retention or release could be affected.
REMOVAL
1/ Withdraw the cable housing if it is lodged
in the end cap.
2/ Loosen the tension screw until the end
stop separates.
3/ Extract the end cap. If the end cap resists
withdrawal loosen the tension screw more.
Attention! The tension screw end if flattened to avoid releasing the retaining spring when
it is loosened. Take care not to force it during loosening on pain of releasing the retaining
spring and damage to the threads on it or the tension screw. Retaining or release of the
removable stop can be affected.
