The rear brake and its cable housing are directly mounted in the factory according to the
manufacturer's recommendations. For optimum operation the rear brake cable housing must
protrude from the frame 160 to 170 mm (fig. 22). Keep some slack, the cable housing must not
be in tension inside the frame.
For fitting/removal or adjustment please follow the
instructions supplied by the brake manufacturer.
Important : For the front brake, as for the rear
brake, the use of the cable housing supplied
is recommended. The use of another type of
cable housing (particularly aluminium pearl
cable housing, or the "stiffer" double clad cable
housing) is not recommended.
The 796 MONOBLADE cockpit is designed so that it offers you aerodynamics, comfort and
ergonomics whatever your position.
The AEROFLAT BAR assembly offers multiple positioning solutions to cover large adjustment
ranges meeting the needs of triathlon and time trial disciplines.
Before completing the final mounting of the bar please check the complete routing as described
above.
1- Place your bar - with the routing assembly already fed into it - onto the stem. Take care not
to pinch the cable outers and/or the electric cables between the bar and the bottom part of the
stem.
2- At the same time slide the rear brake cable outer in the direction of the bottom bracket.
3- Put the M4x12 countersunk head screw in place on the bar to fix it to the stem. This screw
serves to hold the bar during the bike routing phase, it does not form part of the bars rigidity.
Tighten it moderately so as not to damage the recess.
