If the operator, having noted a systematic error, chooses to permanently save the compensation
values, the system will automatically apply the corrections to all subsequent toe value
calculations.
This is equivalent to modifying the calibration of the system, and should only be used as
a stopgap measure while waiting to perform a proper calibration with the correct
procedures and equipment.
A special icon appears on the screen to signal that there are active compensation values (fig. 49).
Pressing the F7 key deletes previously calculated compensation values.
The following keys are active in this window:
- F1
displays the on-line "Help" function
- F2

- F3

This window allows the user to check and/or perform sensor calibration.
Access the program, and position the sensors level as requested.
The procedure required can be selected using keys F6, F7, F8 and F9.
In these screens, data are only communicated between the central unit and sensors by means
of the wire connection; radio communications cannot be used.
The following keys are active in this screen:
- F1
displays the on-line "Help" function
- F2
returns to the previous window
- F5
displays the head test window
- F6
performs the zero calibration procedure.
- F7
performs the zero and full scale calibration procedure.
- F8
performs the sensor electronic calibration check.
- F9
performs the sensor mechanical calibration check.
- F10 returns to the starting window.
Only the zero and full scale calibration procedure (F7) is described below, because it
incorporates the zero calibration procedure.

Preliminary operations

- Place the stand in front of the central unit so that it is perfectly level and stable.
- Adjust the stand when perfectly levelled using the adjustable feet.
- Place the sensors on the stand, each in its correct position (fig. 43).
- Level the sensors using the special spirit level and then lock them into position.
- Switch on the sensors and the central unit.
- Connect the sensors together and to the central unit using the connection cables
