- Select the calibration program.
You will be asked to confirm the selection made.
- Confirm by pressing key F3 (or abort with key F2).
Calibrations
The instructions below refer to the information provided in figure 43.
- Wait for the automatic zero setting of all transducers and the full scale setting of the
goniometers
- Place the "high" shim under foot "3"
- Wait for the data acquisition
- Place two "high" shims under feet "1" and "2"
- Wait for the data acquisition
- Place the "low " shim under foot "3" and then the "medium" shim under foot "2"
- Wait for the data acquisition
- Position the "low" shim under foot "3" and the "medium" shim under foot "1"
- Wait for the data acquisition
- Place the "low" shim under foot "3"
- Place the "medium" shim under foot "1"
- Wait for the procedure to finish.
Warning !
All the data acquisition operations take place automatically if the transducer values fall within
the established tolerance range; if this is not the case, the procedure halts and signals the out-
of-range condition.
Electronic Calibration Check
This window is used to check the measuring sensors calibration (or the value read from several
transducers including possible electronic corrections calculated and saved during the zero and
full scale calibration).
In this window, as in all the windows in the calibration environment, data are only communicated
between the central unit and heads by means of the emergency cables.
The window shows the calibrator with the sensors fitted, each in its own position.
The data for the current check are displayed alongside each sensor.
The values outside the tolerance thresholds are displayed in red, whereas the positive values
are displayed in green.
The following keys are active in this window:
- F1
displays the on-line "Help" function
- F2
returns to the previous window
- F5
moves on to the next step in the calibration check (for step-by-step performance of the
zero and full scale calibration).
- F6
(only displayed after F5 is pressed), moves back one step in the calibration check.
- F7
provide the printout containing the data of the check performed
- F10 returns to the starting window.
Warning !
If some values are outside the permitted tolerance ranges the zero and full scale calibration
procedure should be performed. Before performing the zero and full scale calibration procedure,
it is always important to check that the mechanical calibration is correct.
