Execution: Both electrode signals must exceed the co-contraction thresholds within 80 ms and
then decline. This time can be configured using the adjustment software.
Short co-contraction: The signal declines quickly (default within 500 ms)
Long co-contraction: The signal is held longer (default more than 500 ms) and then declines
9.2 Four-Channel Control
Control: 2 electrodes
Indication: For patients with 2 fast signals
Execution, slowly rising signal: By slowly beginning muscle contraction. It takes more than 80
ms for the electrode signal to reach the set upper switching threshold after exceeding the ON-
threshold.
Execution, quickly rising signal: By quickly and strongly beginning muscle contraction. The
electrode signal reaches the set upper switching threshold within 80 ms after exceeding the ON-
threshold.
9.3 Pulse
Control: Electrode or switch for input 1 and/or input 2
Execution: The electrode signal or switch signal must exceed the set pulse threshold within
80 ms and then decline.
9.4 Long Open
Control: 1 or 2 electrodes
Indication: For patients who can maintain the open hand position with a long muscle signal.
Execution: The electrode signal must be held at the value for the upper threshold of the operat
ing range (default 100 or HI) for the duration of the switching time when the hand is already fully
open.
The duration of the switching time can be configured in the adjustment software.
9.5 Automatic switching after neutral position is reached
Control: By means of the neutral position
Indication: For patients who have a preferred type of grip.
Execution: Switching is triggered after the neutral position has been reached and the delay time
has passed. The duration of the delay time can be configured in the adjustment software.

11 Disposal
In some jurisdictions it is not permissible to dispose of these products with unsorted
household waste. Disposal that is not in accordance with the regulations of your country
may have a detrimental impact on health and the environment. Please observe the
instructions of your national authority pertaining to return and collection.
This safety function allows the Axon-Bus gripping component to be
opened regardless of the control signals present.
1) With the Axon-Bus prosthetic system switched on, press the char
ging receptacle button and hold for approximately three seconds
until the Axon-Bus gripping component begins to open. A pulsating
beep sounds as it opens.
2) Releasing the button immediately stops the process of opening the
Axon-Bus gripping component and turns the entire Axon-Bus pros
thetic system off.
