Faults

When maintenance or fault messages are
displayed, an acoustic signal will sound.
Messages
Change filter.
Change vacuum pump oil.
Insufficient refrigerant quantity in internal refrigerant cylinder.
Used oil reservoir is full.
Insufficient oil quantity.
Insufficient UV contrast medium quantity.
Excess pressure in internal refrigerant cylinder.
Printer error.
Internal refrigerant cylinder is full.
Excess pressure during pressure check at start of vacuum phase.
The maximum permissible time for the duration of the recovery/re-
cycling phase has been reached.
Vehicle A/C system has a leak.
Calibration error.
Refill phase timeout.

Actions
Carry out maintenance (see section 7)!
The ACS 500 can still be operated.
Fill refrigerant cylinder.
Empty used oil reservoir.
Fill fresh oil reservoir.
Fill UV contrast medium reservoir.
Wait approx. 30 minutes and then restart the recovery/recycling
phase. If the fault persists, contact customer service.
No paper or contact customer service.
Weight limit reached. Reduce quantity of refrigerant in internal re-
frigerant cylinder.
The vacuum phase cannot be executed if pressure is present. Car-
ry out recovery/recycling phase.
Read pressure values on manometer. If pressure is present, the
ACS 500 may be defective (contact customer service). If no pres-
sure is present, either the vehicle A/C system or the oil drain valve
on the ACS 500 has a leak.
During the pressure loss measurement, the pressure value incre-
ases. Repair vehicle A/C system.
Time for generation of vacuum may be too short. Increase time.
Contact customer service.
The charging of the vehicle's air conditioning system is taking too
long, e.g. due to an interrupted flow or unfavourable pressure con-
ditions. Check that all the connections are connected correctly
and that all the valves are open. Check the filling quantity in the
refrigerant cylinder and fill up if required. Contact customer ser-
vice.
