Program description
6.6.3
Oil injection phase
i
Oil injection can only be carried out on A/C
systems that are under vacuum. The vacuum
phase must therefore be performed before
oil injection.
In the oil injection phase, the oil quantity can
be entered (default value: 10 ml).
i
Before feeding the refrigerant oil into the
vehicle A/C system, check whether the end
of the intake hose reaches right to the bottom
of the fresh oil reservoir.
!
The quantity of refrigerant oil that can be
injected into the vehicle A/C system depends
on the preceding work on the system. During
servicing work on the vehicle A/C system, the
same quantity of refrigerant oil is injected
into the system as the quantity recovered in
the used oil reservoir. When filling a vehicle
A/C system for the first time, observe the
manufacturer's specified filling quantity.
!
Only use the specified refrigerant oil.

6.6.4
UV contrast medium injection
i
UV contrast medium injection can only be
carried out on A/C systems that are under
vacuum. The vacuum phase must therefore
be performed before UV contrast medium
injection.
!
Before each UV contrast medium injection,
it is essential to check whether a leak test
using UV contrast medium is approved for
the vehicle A/C system.
In the UV injection phase, the UV contrast
medium quantity can be entered (default
value: 5 ml).
6.6.5
Filling phase
In the filling phase, the refrigerant quantity
can be entered (default: 700 g).
If a lower value than 70g is displayed, this is because
1)
the internal refrigerant cylinder contains insufficient
refrigerant for filling.
.
Cleaning mode
This mode is used after repairs (e. g. defective
compressor, decomposed drier) to remove
residual oil, impurities or solid particles
from the vehicle A/C system. The vehicle
A/C system must be free of refrigerant in
this mode. During cleaning, the refrigerant
is injected into the vehicle A/C system using
the red filling hose and it is simultaneously
extracted using the blue filling hose. At the
end of cleaning, the residual oil is added to
the used oil reservoir. The cleaning time can
be set manually (default: 20 min).
i
If "Cleaning" mode is canceled, the recovery
phase continues until all of the refrigerant
has been extracted.
