4 BASIC CONFIGURATION.

4.1 Fitting the pedals.

Right pedal: The right pedal is
marked on the axle with the
letter R. Tighten in clockwise
direction.
Left Pedal: The left pedal is
marked on the axle with the
letter L. Tighten in anticlockwise
direction. Grease the thread of
the pedals.

4.2 Handlebar Assembly.

4.2.1 Re-adjusting the Aheadset

(Aheadset
is the feature product from the brand of threadless
®
systems from the company DiaCompe).
In order to assemble the Aheadset
Allen wrenches and a torque wrench. Unscrew the side clamping
bolts one or two turns.
Remove the BMW emblem and tighten the screw fastened to the
top part with an Allen wrench, for example, a quarter turn (b).
Warning: Do not fasten the screw of the top part, only use
them to adjust if it is loose.
Turn the stem so that the handlebar is not at an incline. Tighten the
clamping bolts on the side of the stem (c). Use a torque wrench
and do not exceed the maximum tightening torques! You will find
the information in the chapter «Recommended Tightening
Torques» in the same parts and/or in the manufacturer instructions
for the part.
Warning: Take into account that the top part of the fork axle
may get pinched when the screws are tightened too much.
