1 Introduction
Install the batteries
Your multimeter is powered by four 1.5 V AAA batteries (included with the
shipment). When you receive your multimeter, the batteries are not installed.
Use the following procedure to install the batteries.
Before you proceed with the battery installation, remove all cable
CAUTION
connections to the terminals and ensure that the rotary switch is at the OFF
position. Use only the batteries provided with your multimeter.
1 Lift the tilt stand as shown on the right.
2 Loosen the two screws with a suitable Phillips
screwdriver as shown on the right.
4 Lift the inner cover to access the battery
compartment.

3 Lift and remove the battery cover as shown on the
left.
