Making Measurements
Using the low pass frequency filter function for frequency
measurements
Your multimeter is equipped with a low pass frequency filter (
unwanted noise when measuring frequency. When the filter is enabled, your
multimeter continues measuring voltage/current via the selected averaging sense
or true rms function, but now the signal diverts through a filter that blocks
unwanted frequency of ~ 1 kHz. The filter with the averaging sense circuit can
improve measurement performance on composite sine waves that are typically
generated by inverters and variable frequency drives.
During frequency measurement, press
filter.
