They allow to select the chosen QuickRead station that will be the only one enabled to transmit
up to the new selection.
The selection string is the identifier numerical value which is programmed on the QuickRead
station and then converted in ASCII on two digits.

The stations with different identifier are in a non selection condition.
The station with matching identifier is in a selection condition, sending the present measuring
value as confirmation to the occurred selection ( see chapter 9 "Formatting of numerical string",
page 202).
In case the measure can not be transmitted, the QuickRead returns the error string:

Each additional << request string >> is interpreted and eventually processed by this station.
Each QuickRead station is considered << selected >> when switched on, in order to interact
with the request strings.
In case of applications with only one connected QuickRead, it is possible to send a << request
string >> without having sent before a << selection string >>.
For applications with various connected QuickRead units, it is necessary to send a << selection
string >> to specify the unit related to the subsequent << request string >>.

String of request related to the selected unit
7.1 String of Request
They allow to ask for information or to prepare the selected station, as required by host.
The selection, which is not necessary in case of point to point connection between host and
QuickRead, occurs by means of a <<selection string>> ( see chapter 6 "Selection strings",
page 192 ).
If the string of request is valid on a syntactic point of view but not corresponding to any other
string related to a service, the QuickRead returns the error string:
