I
NOTE
If the ZERO key is pressed before the SETUP key, the message "ALARM 83" is displayed.
The message "ALARM 81" is displayed if the zeroing is performed when the contact
position exceeds ± 20% of the measuring range of the probe, with respect to its optimum
zeroing position.
Should the master deviation be programmed with a value different from zero, this value is
displayed after zeroing is performed.
3.7.1
Remote zeroing
The Quick Read can be zeroed, in measuring mode:
through a simple external push-button (at customer's care); the function is enabled by
programming the variable COM.MODE as "i/o zero". The push-button has to be
connected to the RS232 port of the Quick Read (see Figure 1 at page 38). In this case
the port cannot be used for data transmission.
through the Quick Read external pushbutton box (optional) code 6139013100 (see
paragraph 3.10 Accessories); the function is enabled by programming the variable
COM.MODE as "ascii" or "QRbin." (see paragraph 3.11.3).
through the Quick Read footswitch (optional) code 6738099030 (see paragraph 3.11
Accessories); the function is enabled by programming the variable COM.MODE as "i/o
zero" (see paragraph 3.11.1)
3.8 How to read the display
The kind of measurement visualization changes according to value and status of the
measurement.
This picture helps understanding the kind of display visualization according to value and status
of the measurement. The following cases can be distinguished:
a. Measurement value within the programmed tolerance limits
Transducer range
Analogue full range
Measuring value
