NOTES ON THE CORRECT USE OF THE DEVICE
• The Vaporflex
Handle will operate only with a bipolar probe of joimax

before use according to the instructions.
• Use the shaft only with a compatible probe. Note the different lengths.
• Select the cable according to the RF/HF generator available. Note the different plugs.
• Image interference on the monitor can be minimized if
• the RF/HF cable is not led directly parallel with the camera cables,
• the RF/HF cable is not looped,
• the RF/HF generator is not switched on until the assembled Vaporflex
• The power output of the RF/HF generator must be checked before each use and set up for the follwing application.
Please follow the instructions for use of the RF/HF generator and the general instructions for electrosurgery.
WARNINGS AND POTENTIAL RISKS
• The use of non-flammable agents for cleaning and disinfection is recommended wherever possible; flammable agents
for cleaning, disinfecting, or as solvents of adhesives shall be allowed to evaporate before application of RF/HF surgery;
there is a risk of pooling of flammable solutions under the patient or in body depressions and in body cavities; fluids
pooled in body depressions and cavities should be mopped up before RF/HF devices are used.
• Incorrect use of RF/HF current can cause endogenous and exogenous burns and explosions. Check before use that the
power output set on the RF/HF generator is not higher than required for the surgical procedure. Details can be found in
the instructions for use of the RF/HF generator.
• Before increasing power output because of insufficient coagulation, always check whether:
• all connection contacts on the Vaporflex
• the foot switch is functioning perfectly,
• the insulation on the RF/HF cable and the active probe is intact.
• joimax
probes may still be hot immediately after deactivation. Probes that have just been used, as well as temporarily

unused probes, must not be placed on the patient or other flammable materials. They must be stored in a separate,
insulated place.
• Only non-combustible gases (e.g. CO
• The functions that occur with proper use of the RF/HF generator can cause some materials, such as cotton and gauze,
to ignite if they are saturated with oxygen.
• Connect the device to the RF/HF generator only when it is not activated.
• Do not activate the instrument when not in contact with target tissue.
• Ensure that insulated parts do not come in contact with hard, pointed or heavy objects during preparation, as such
objects may damage the insulation and render the product unsuitable.
• The use of flammable anesthesia or gases such as laughing gas (N

CAUTIONS
• Read the instructions for use which are provided with the RF/HF-generator prior to using this device!
• Ensure that all package inserts including cautions and instructions for use are read and understood.
• Carefully read the instructions for use of the Vaporflex
• The components must be assembled in accordance with the specifications in the assembly instructions.
