MANUAL CLEANING AND DISINFECTION –
CLEANING
The following instructions only apply to the Vaporflex
single-use.
1. Disassemble the device completely following the disassembly instructions.
2. Submerge the disassembled parts into the cleaning bath for the specified reaction time, so that the instruments are suffi-
ciently covered (careful brushing with a soft brush, if required), ensuring that the instruments do not touch each other.
The time that devices are soaked in the cleaning bath is given by the manufacturer of the cleaning agent (for exam-
ple, the manufacturer of Cidezyme
3. At the beginning and at the end of the reaction time, rinse all luminas at least five times by using a disposable syringe
(minimum volume 100 ml) and the Luer-Lock connection.
4. Then remove the medical devices from the cleaning bath and thoroughly rinse them with water at least three times.
5. Ensure that the device is thoroughly cleaned and visually clean.
6. Repeat (2.) if necessary.
DISINFECTION
7. Submerge the disassembled, cleaned and checked medical devices into the disinfection bath for the specified reaction
time, so that the medical devices are sufficiently covered, ensuring that the instruments do not touch one another. Insert
the cable loose, it may not be kinked or crushed.
Limit the time that devices are soaked in the disinfectant solution to the minimum time recommended by the
disinfectant manufacturer (for example, the manufacturer of Cidex

Only dry the products with compressed air at pressures below 3 bar to avoid possible damage.
11. Pack the instruments, preferably immediately after removal (refer to packing), after additional drying in a clean place.
Components which are still soiled after the reprocessing procedure, must be cleaned and disinfected again.
