7.2 Indication Setting
7.2.1 Insufflation
The menu item "Insufflation" is used to adjust the values for the starting pres-
sure, the gas flow rates, the venting system, the maximum pressure, and the oc-
clusion alert. The settings are made for the currently selected indication and the
currently selected mode. However, the starting pressure set for a profile is ap-
plied when selecting that profile.
Starting pressure: Nominal pressure to be reached at the start of insufflation
(setting range is based on the indication).
Gas flow rates: Keeping the (-) or (+) button depressed for 1.5 seconds allows you
to select one of 3 levels for the nominal gas flow. The setting ranges for these gas
flow rates depend on the indication.
Venting system: The venting valve is opened to relieve excess pressure in the pa-
tient. The venting vent can be turned off completely or only during Veress insuf-
flation. The venting valve opens with a time delay after the actual pressure has
exceeded the nominal pressure for a specific time. This time, and this pressure
difference, can be set here.
Maximum pressure: The maximum pressure adjustable in the OR screen. The set-
ting range for the maximum pressure depends on the indication.
Occlusion alert: The acoustic signal of the occlusion alert can be turned on or off
here.
7.2.2 Smoke Evacuation
The "Smoke Evacuation" menu item is used to adjust the values for timer and lev-
el of the smoke evacuation by means of a foot control switch.
Smoke evac timer: Time interval after which the smoke evacuation automatically
is switched from 12 l/min to 6 l/min (1 to 30 min or indefinitely).
Foot control level: Level of the smoke evacuation turned on by pressing the foot
pedal (6 l/min or 12 l/min).
7.3 System
The "System" menu item is used to adjust the values for volume, brightness, gas
supply, and language and as well as the values to reset the settings to the factory
defaults.
The settings can be done for all indications and modes (except Profiles).
General volume - volume of beeps (20 %, 40 %, 60 %, 80 %, 100 %), factory setting
80%.
General brightness - brightness of the display (20 %, 40 %, 60 %, 80 %, 100 %), fac-
tory setting 80 %.
Gas supply: House gas supply or bottle gas supply (factory setting is house gas
supply). When a bottle is connected, the device automatically switches to bottled
gas supply.
Language: Language of displays on the user's screen, factory setting is English.
Factory reset: All settings are reset to the factory settings. Resetting to the facto-
ry settings must be confirmed.
