• Remove the fixing screw on the oil filter cover 5
under the right side of the engine. Remove the oil
filter 6, and drain the engine oil thoroughly.
• Replace the oil filter with a new one.
• Reinstall the oil filter cover.
Notice
Check that no oil is leaking from the oil filter cover.
Confirm that all parts and components are installed
in place.
Spark plug
For the initial 1000 km and every
5000 km traveled, use a small metal
brush or a spark plug cleaner to
remove the carbon deposits attached
to the spark plug, and use the spark
plug gap gauge to readjust the spark
plug electrode gap to keep it between
0.7-0.8 mm.
Recommended spark plug model: CR8E
Caution
Do not over-tighten the spark plug or allow the
threads to be staggered to avoid damage to the
threads of the cylinder head. When removing the
spark plug, do not let impurities enter the engine
through the spark plug hole in the cylinder head.
Adjustment of accelerator cable
1. Check whether the accelerator grip can be freely
rolled between fully open and fully closed posi-
tions, from steering full left lock to full right lock.
2. Measure its free stroke on
0.7-0.8mm
the flange of the accelera-
tor grip. The standard free
stroke should be 10°-15°.
To adjust the free stroke, loosen
the lock nut 1 and turn the
adjuster 2.
