Before performing a procedure, hold the distal tip of the LithoVue Flexscope close to an object (about the
same distance as the width of the shaft) and ensure the video monitor displays a clear, sharply focused,
high-quality image. Confirm the "real time" appearance of the video image on the video monitor. Confirm
the image is oriented correctly.
If the image is not displaying in real time, is not oriented correctly, or is not clear and sharply focused,
see Section 7 "Troubleshooting" to resolve the problem before beginning the procedure.
If a DVI switcher and/or external monitor are being used, ensure the image displays properly before
beginning the procedure.

The LithoVue System will automatically adjust the illumination to ensure adequate visibility at the
treatment site. However, the brightness of the video image may be further modified by the user.
To increase the brightness of the video image as displayed on the live video image screen, press the
button. To decrease the brightness of the video image, press the button. The image brightness
scale provides visual feedback of the relative brightness of the light source.
