4) Tighten the countersunk head screws to a torque of 1.5 Nm and 2 Nm (see Fig. 21 and 22).
5) Re-tighten all screws after 30 minutes and secure with 636K13 adhesive.
INFORMATION: When securing the screws, only loosen one screw at a time, apply the
adhesive to the thread and tighten the screw again to the specified tightening torque.
The following conditions have to be met to ensure there is a strong connection between the side
rail and socket shells:
•
The socket may not be lengthened more than 2 cm from the stop of the side rails by "extend
ing" it.
•
The minimum overlap length between the side rail guides and side rails has to be maintained:
10 cm medial, and 8 cm lateral (sum of the length of the clamping pieces).
•
Two clamping pieces have to be installed on the lateral socket shell.
The first clamping piece must be located at the lowest possible position of the over
lap. The second clamping piece must be located at the highest possible position of
the overlap.
•
At least one clamping piece has to be installed on the medial socket shell.
The clamping piece must be located at the lowest possible position of the overlap.
The medial side rail has to extend at least 2 cm into the pocket of the medial side rail guide.
The highest countersunk screw has to be installed (the countersink for this screw is located
directly in the medial shell).
•
The screws are re-tightened after 30 minutes and secured with 636K13 adhesive as
described above.
