PELIGRO
Un disco sucio ensucia las pastillas y por consiguien-
te reduce la eficacia de frenado. Las pastillas sucias
deben ser sustituidas, mientras que el disco sucio
debe ser limpiado con un producto desengrasante de
alta calidad.
De conducir con las llantas dañadas se perjudica la
seguridad propia, de los demás y del vehículo.
Controle las condiciones de la llanta rueda y, de re-
sultar dañada, hágala sustituir.
Coloque el vehículo sobre el caballete central.

PELIGRO
Antes de realizar las operaciones que siguen a conti-
nuación, deje enfriar el motor y el silenciador hasta al-
canzar la temperatura ambiente para evitar posibles
quemaduras.
Saque el silenciador, véase pág. 143 (SILENCIADOR
DE ESCAPE - DESMONTAJE).
Quite la tapa (1).
Accione la palanca freno trasero para bloquear la rue-
da.
Destornille y quite la tuerca rueda (2) y guarde la aran-
dela.
IMPORTANTE
Durante la instalación, sustituya la
tuerca rueda (de tipo especial) con otra nueva.
Par de apriete tuerca rueda (2): 110 Nm (11 kgm).
Suelte la palanca del freno trasero.

Extraiga la rueda.
Extraiga la pinza del freno trasero, véase pág. 117
(DESMONTAJE PINZA FRENO TRASERO).
Extraiga la rueda.

PELIGRO
Tras la instalación, accione varias veces la palanca
del freno trasero y controle el funcionamiento correc-
to del sistema de frenado.
Controle el centrado de la rueda.
Se aconseja llevar a controlar los pares de apriete, el
centrado y el equilibrado ,véase pág. 129 (RUEDAS /
NEUMATICOS) para evitar inconvenientes que po-
drían causar daños graves a los demás y a sí mismo.

A dirty disc soils the pads, with consequent reduction
of the braking efficiency. Dirty pads must be replaced,
while dirty discs must be cleaned with a high-quality
degreaser.
Riding with damaged rims is dangerous for the rider,
the vehicle and other people.
Check the conditions of the wheel rim and have it
changed if it is damaged.
Position the vehicle on the centre stand.

Before carrying out the following operations, let the
engine and the silencer cool down until they reach
room temperature, in order to avoid burns.
Remove the silencer, see p. 143 (EXHAUST SILENC-
ER - DISASSEMBLY).
Remove the cover (1).
Put on the rear brake to lock the wheel.
Unscrew and remove the wheel nut (2) and the washer.
NOTE
Upon reassembly, change the wheel nut (spe-
cial type).
Wheel nut (2) driving torque: 110 Nm (11 kgm).
Release the rear brake lever.

Withdraw the wheel.
Remove the rear brake caliper , see p. 115 (REMOV-
ING THE FRONT BRAKE CALIPER).
Withdraw the wheel.

After reassembly, pull the rear brake lever repeatedly
and check the correct functioning of the braking sys-
tem.
Check the wheel centering.
Have the driving torques, centering and balancing of
the wheel checked, see p. 129 (WHEELS / TYRES) in
order to avoid accidents that may be harmful for you
and/or other people.
