Pull on the pulling cord (10) until you feel resistance, release the cord and then pull it fast. Repeat
this if the engine does not start the first time. Guide the pulling cord back after starting. If you can
not start the engine, check the Troubleshooting table. Refer to chapter 7.

Once the engine has warmed up after about 20 to 30 seconds (starts running unevenly), push the
choke lever (15) all the way to the right.

5.6
Use of the pressure relief valve
•
The pressure relief valve (Fig. 2/1) is situated near the hydraulic connecting couplers.

The pressure relief valve must be in the "neutral" position when you connect and disconnect the
hydraulic hoses.
•
The pressure relief valve must be in the "operation" position when you use the tool.
5.7
Relief the pressure in unconnected hoses or tools
5.7.1
General
Temperature differences can cause overpressure in unconnected hoses and tools. This overpressure
can make it impossible to connect the parts. You can use the pressure relief tool to remove this
overpressure. This accessory is available for all Holmatro hose systems and is supplied by default with
every pump.
NOTICE
We recommend you keep more than one of these tools on hand.
5.7.2
Quick-Lock couplers
Refer to Fig. 10.
•
Turn the knob of the pressure relief tool counterclockwise to make room for the coupler.
•
Press the pressure relief tool on to the coupler of the hose or tool.
•
Wrap a cloth around the pressure relief tool, leave the knob free to operate.
WARNING
Make sure the cloth covers the oil openings, because a cloud of oil may appear without a
cloth.
•
Turn the knob clockwise to release the pressure. Some oil will be released.
•
