DIESEL PARTICULATE FILTER (DPF) REGENERATION WARNING LIGHT
When the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF)
Regeneration warning light turns on the
DPF regeneration process is required. This
process can be activated:
1 - by driving the vehicle as prescribed
by the manufacturer, with engine at
operating temperature of 70°C - 80°C
(158°F - 176°F) until the warning light
turns off. If the warning light remains
on, turn off the engine and contact
immediately the manufacturer of the
vehicle or a workshop authorised by VM
MOTORI STELLANTIS EUROPE to solve
the problem.
2 - by pressing the Regeneration Button-
Operated Device (for vehicle provided
with this function, see page 32).
IMPORTANT
The activation frequency of Diesel
Particulate Filter Regeneration warning
lamp may depend on the conditions of
use of the vehicle in which the engine is
installed.

CAUTION - PRECAUTION
If the Particulate Filter regeneration
request warning is ignored, the MIL
warning light turns on to signal a
problem on the anti-pollution control
system.
The MIL warning light may turn on
together with other warning lamps
installed by the vehicle manufacturer.
If the MIL warning light turns on, contact
the manufacturer of the vehicle in which
the engine is installed or a workshop
authorised by VM MOTORI STELLANTIS
EUROPE.
Irreversible damage to particulate filter
may occur if the engine is used with DPF
particulate filter and MIL warning lights
on.
