ENGINE GENERAL DESCRIPTION
GB
Engine R756EU6EH has been designed and manufactured to be installed on road
vehicles that have been type-approved according to EURO VI anti-pollution directives.
MAIN ENGINE COMPONENTS R756EU6EH
1) Thermostatic valve: adjusts the water
temperature according to the engine oper-
ating temperature.
2) EGR: Exhaust recirculation valve. The
valve allows a part of the engine exhaust
gases to pass from the exhaust manifold
to the intake manifold to help reduce
the NOx pollutants (nitrogen oxide) from
combustion.
3) Electro-injector: injects pressurised fuel
into the combustion chamber.
4) Oil / air vapor separator: separates and
recirculates part of the oil contained in the
oil / air vapors in the engine.
5) Rail: stores pressurised fuel and distrib-
utes it to the injectors.
6) Starter motor: used to start the engine.
7) Oil filter: traps any impurity.
8) Cooler: cools the engine oil by heat
exchange with the coolant fluid.
9) High pressure injection pump: feeds the
injectors with fuel under pressure.
10) Linear tensioner: it keeps the belt
constantly tightened.
11) Water pump: feeds the cooling circuit.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION
12) Cooler: cools the exhaust gases by
heat exchange with the coolant fluid.
13) TVA: Air flow control valve. The valve
regulates the flow of air drawn from the
engine, particularly when the EGR valve is
operating.
14) Turbocharger: it consists of a turbine
which exploits part of the exhaust gas en-
ergy to carry out the engine turbocharging.
15) Oil sump: contains the engine lubrica-
tion oil.
16) Exhaust manifold: used to expel the
combustion gases.
17) Suction manifold: conveys the com-
bustion air into the combustion chamber.
18) Air filter: filters the air drawn in by the
engine.
19) Debimeter: it detects the air mass that
feeds the engine.
20) Glow plugs: favor combustion in the
engine and starting the enginecold and at
low ambient temperature.
