ENGINE OIL LEVEL CHECK
1 - Turn off engine and remove the igniton
key.

CAUTION - PRECAUTION
Access the engine avoiding contact
with hot parts to avoid the risk of burns
or scalds. Do not stand near hot parts
to avoid damage due to heat radiation.
Wear gloves and protective clothing
suitables.
2 - Position the vehicle so that the engine
is horizontally parallel to the plane.
3 - Clean the area surrounding the oil
dipstick (L) and the filler plug (M).
4 - Remove the oil dipstick (L) clean it
with a clean, lint-free cloth and refit it fully
home.
5 - Remove the oil dipstick (L) again and
check that the oil level is between the
"MIN" and "MAX" notches.
6 - To top up, unscrew the filler plug (M),
clean the area surrounding the filler hole
and pour engine oil up to and not beyond
the "MAX" notch.
7 - Refit the oil dipstick (L) and close the
filler plug.
IMPORTANT
For a correct engine filling oil quantity,
refer to the values in section "Technical
Data" on page 15.
When topping up the oil, to avoid
exceeding the maximum allowed value,
add the oil in small quantities (e.g.
100-200 ml at a time) until it reaches the
correct level.
Do not use the engine with the oil level
below the MIN mark, or above the MAX
mark.

IMPORTANT
When the engine is running, the oil
level must be between the minimum
and maximum notches.
Do not mix oils with different
characteristics. Use only oils compliant
with the specifications in section
"Technical Data" on page 15.

If necessary, contact the manufacturer
of the vehicle in which the engine is
installed or a workshop authorised by
VM MOTORI STELLANTIS EUROPE.
