Material damage due to improper use/incorrect appliance
set-up.
„ Place the appliance on a stable, level, heat-resistant and dry sur-
face.
„ Never place the appliance on the edge of a table – it could tip
over and fall. Do not allow the mains cable (5) to hang over the
edge of the worktop.
„ Ensure that the mains cable (5) does not become a tripping hazard
and do not use an extension cord.
„ Avoid the use of sharp objects to distribute or flip the batter to pre-
vent scratches. Use wood or heatproof plastic utensils to flip the
crêpes.
„ Do not use any aggressive chemical agents, scouring agents, hard
sponges etc. for cleaning. They can scratch the surface. Comply
with the notes in section "10. Cleaning" on page 23.
„ Use only the accessories supplied.
„ Do not clean the appliance in a dishwasher.
„ If the appliance has been moved from a cold room to a warm
room, wait before connecting the mains plug to the power supply.
The resulting condensation may damage the appliance. The appli-
ance can be operated safely as soon as it has reached room tem-
perature.
„ Chemical additives in furniture coatings may corrode the materi-
al of the appliance feet (8) and cause residue on the furniture sur-
face. If necessary, place the appliance on an underlay that is in-
sensitive to heat and water.
