8. Operation
WARNING!
Risk of scalding!
The touchable surfaces on the appliance are extremely hot
when the appliance is in use.
„ During operation, touch the appliance only by the tem-
perature control (3).
NOTICE!
Possible material damage!
The non-stick coating on the cooking plate (1) is sensitive.
There is a risk of scratches.
„ Do not use sharp objects or utensils made of metal on the
cooking plate (1).
„ Do not allow foods other than batter to come into con-
tact with the cooking plate (1), since they could burn on
and leave residue.
8.1.
Before using the appliance for the first time
` Remove all packaging materials.
On the cooking plate (1), there is an adhesive label with the ILAG logo on it.
Remove this label before using for the first time.
` Place the appliance on a level, dry and heat-resistance work surface at a comfortable
working height.
` Clean the appliance before using it for the first time (see section "10. Cleaning" on
page 23).
During this initial heating period you may notice faint odours. This does not
mean that the appliance is malfunctioning. Please ensure adequate ventila-
tion, e.g. by opening a window.
