To replace the spark plug
Replace the spark plug 1 time each year.
1. Stop the engine.
2. Remove the spark plug cap from the spark plug.
3. Clean the area around the spark plug and remove
the spark plug from the cylinder.
4. Set the electrode gap. Refer to
page 31 .
5. Install a new spark plug. Torque to 15 ft/lbs.
Hydraulic system
To do a check of the hydraulic hoses
Examine the hydraulic hoses regularly. Replace
worn or damaged hydraulic hoses.
WARNING:
The rubber in the hydraulic hoses wears with
time. Worn or damaged hydraulic hoses can
break and the hydraulic oil can cause injury.
If you cannot tell if the hydraulic hoses are
worn, always replace the hydraulic hoses.
To do a check of the hydraulic oil level
1. Open the side panel.

Hydraulic oil is dangerous.
2. Look at the hydraulic oil level in the level indicator.
The hydraulic oil level is correct when it is between
the 2 marks on the level indicator (A).
3. If the hydraulic oil level is below the center of
the indicator, replace the hydraulic oil. Refer to
replace the hydraulic oil on page 25 .
To replace the hydraulic oil
If the engine is cold, start the engine for 1–2 minutes
before you drain the hydraulic oil. This makes the
hydraulic oil warm and easier to drain.
WARNING:
directly after the engine stops. Let the
engine become cool before you drain the
hydraulic oil. If you spill hydraulic oil on your
skin, clean with soap and water.
