1. Make sure that the ON/OFF key is put to the OFF
position.
2. Make sure that the battery voltage is more than 11
volts.
3. Turn the ON/OFF key from the ON position to the
OFF position 2 times continuously.
Note:
Make sure to turn the ON/OFF key
continuously with less than 2.5 seconds between
each turn.

Cause
The coolant/oil temperature sensor circuit
has a shorted connection, faulty sensor or
shorted wire.
The throttle position sensor (TPS) has an
open connection, broken wire or faulty
sensor.
The oxygen sensor has an open connec-
tion, broken wire or faulty sensor.
The crankshaft position sensor has no sig-
nal due to air gap incorrect, loose sensor,
open or shorted connection or faulty sen-
sor.
The cylinder 1 Ignition coil Malfunction
due to broken wire in harness (may not
be visible), shorted connection or faulty
sensor.
The cylinder 2 ignition coil malfunction
due to broken wire in harness (may not
be visible), shorted connection or faulty
sensor.
