Using the automatic controller
The automatic control mode is the normal mode of the controller to keep the actual value
of a process variable constant at a predetermined desired value. The controller evaluates
the control deviation and controls the output level so that the actual value of the process is
brought to the target value. You can change the current set point in the controller user
screens or in the "Settings". See Fig. 41 and
The controller picture of the current controller setpoint can, under certain conditions, be
changed to the "Manual Mode" or "Self-optimisation". The self-optimisation is not enabled
by default. If this function is required, it must be activated in the configuration level first.
Use is permitted only if you are logged in as a Master.
For the setpoint adjustment and manual mode activation, the following applies:
