Explanation of Symbols

Warning indications

Warning indications in the text are marked
with a triangle and boxed.
In case of hazards through electricity, the
exclamation mark in the warning triangle
is substituted by a lightning bolt.
When there is a risk of burns from hot sur-
faces, the exclamation mark in the warn-
ing triangle is substituted by a heat-alert
symbol.
Signal words at the beginning of a warning indica-
tion specify the type and severity of the conse-
quences, if the measures to avert the hazard are
not adhered to.
_ NOTE means that property damage can occur.
_ CAUTION means that light to fairly serious per-
sonal injury can occur.
_ WARNING means that serious personal injury
can occur.
_ DANGER means that life-threatening personal
injury can occur.

Important information that do not lead to
hazards for humans or property damage
are marked with the icon aside and are
also boxed.

When installing, starting-up and operating the
machine, always observe the following safety
instructions:
DANGER:
Hot surfaces
During operation, the firing chamber can reach
temperatures above 1500 °C. There is acute
danger of burning when touching hot surfaces
after opening the firing chamber. After switch-
ing off, the furnace requires several hours to
cool down.
▷ Under all circumstances, avoid direct contact
with hot components of the furnace.
▷ Do not reach into the firing chamber with your
hands or other objects.
▷ Do not touch the lift plate, insulation table or
firing objects with your bare hands.
▷ Use suitable aids (tweezers) when removing
firing objects or wear safety gloves.
