The mains cable may not be damaged!
▷ Do not place objects on the mains cable.
▷ Lay the mains cable in such a manner that
nobody can step on or trip over it.
▷ Pay attention that the cable does not have
contact with hot objects or surfaces.
▷ In case of damage to the insulation: Replace
the mains cable.
NOTE:
Do not insert the mains plug before the heating
elements have been inserted.
▷ Set the mains switch to the 0 position.
▷ When the furnace is to be operated via a net-
work (Ethernet) or via a single computer: Con-
nect network cable to the interface on the rear
of the unit ([6] in Fig. 3 on page 50).
For a direct connection, older computers
may require a crossover network
cable.
▷ Connect the enclosed mains cable to the socket
intended for this purpose on the rear of the fur-
nace.
▷ Connect the other end of the cable to the socket
outlet with earthing contact.
The mains cable may only be replaced
against an original mains cable from the
manufacturer.

5.3
Initial starting of operation
▷ Switch the furnace on via the mains switch.
The furnace control system boots up (approx.
one minute). Afterwards, an internal check of
the hardware and software takes place and the
lift automatically moves to the bottom position.
▷ Check, if the insulation table is seated on the lift
plate. If not: Switch the furnace off and mount
the insulation table.
CAUTION:
Health hazard!
▷ Do not inhale ceramic dust.
▷ Clean ceramic dust from the lift plate and seal
ring. Do not blow away the dust; carefully brush
it into a receptacle using a brush.
The furnace's control system software is operated
via the touchscreen.
5.4
Connecting the furnace with the
network (optional)
5.4.1
Determining the IP address
If required, contact your network adminis-
trator.
▷ Make sure that the furnace is connected with
the Ethernet.
▷ Switch the furnace on and confirm possible
error messages.
After switching on, the Programme Manager is
automatically displayed.
