▷ Remove the PTC ring from the insulation table
using suitable aids (tweezers, safety gloves) and
E N
place it on a clean and level surface.
▷ Using the sliding calipers, measure the diameter
D between the to opposing middle numbers of
the three-digit batch number to an accuracy of
± 0.01 mm.
Fig. 23 Determining the diameter
▷ Compare the measured diameter D with the val-
ues of the ring-specific calibration chart.
The respective value in the chart provides the
actual temperature in the furnace.
If the temperature determined in this manner var-
iates from the 1500 °C set-temperature, then the
CCF value must be changed.

Increase CCF
To change the CCF value:
▷ In the
Setup
menu, tap on the
librierung (Temperature calibration)
The temperature calibration window is dis-
played. The set CCF value is displayed.
Fig. 24 Setup > Temperature calibration
▷ Tap on the CCF value.
The numerical keyboard window is displayed.
▷ Enter the desired CCF value:
▪ An increase of the CCF value by one point cor-
responds with an increase of the firing temper-
ature by 1 °C.
▪ An decrease of the CCF value by one point cor-
responds with an decrease of the firing tem-
perature by 1 °C.
▷ Tap on
Enter
to save/store the new CCF value.
In case of large or sudden variations to the
original CCF value:
