Fuel tank cover reassembly
Apply lubricant on gasket surfaces (E9) in contact with tank plug.
Assemble tank cover (G) on fuel tank, centring gasket (E9) on tank
plug.
Connect connector (L1) of fuel level sensor (L) to fuel level wiring
branch (H).
Lock plate (G8) by inserting no. 2 clips (G7), positioning them as
shown in the figure.
Working on motorcycle RH side, start screw (G5) fastening tank
cover (G) to bracket (E8).
Tighten screw (G5) to the specified torque.
Working on motorcycle LH side, start screw (G6) fastening tank
cover (G) to LH subframe (I).
Tighten screw (G6) to the specified torque.
Fit no.4 washers (G2) on no.4 screws (G1).
Fit the no.2 washers (G4) on the no.2 upper screws (G3).
Fasten tank cover (G) by starting no.4 screws (G1) and no.2 upper
screws (G3) in the points indicated in the figure.
Tighten no.4 screws (G1) and no.2 upper screws (G3) to the
specified torques.

Fuel tank cover reassembly

plug.

Working on motorcycle RH side, start screw (G5) fastening tank
cover (G) to bracket (E8).
Tighten screw (G5) to the specified torque.
Working on motorcycle LH side, start screw (G6) fastening tank
cover (G) to LH subframe (I).
Tighten screw (G6) to the specified torque.
Fit no.4 washers (G2) on no.4 screws (G1).
Fit the no.2 washers (G4) on the no.2 upper screws (G3).
Fasten tank cover (G) by starting no.4 screws (G1) and no.2 upper
screws (G3) in the points indicated in the figure.
Tighten no.4 screws (G1) and no.2 upper screws (G3) to the
specified torques.
