Problems Checking Your Blood Glucose
Problem: The Reader does not start a test after inserting a test strip.
What it may mean: Test strip is not inserted correctly or not inserted fully into
the strip port.
What to do:
1. With the 3 black lines facing up, insert the test strip into the strip port until it
stops.
2. If the Reader still does not start a test, contact Customer Service.
What it may mean: Reader battery is too low.
What to do: Charge the Reader.
What it may mean: The test strip is damaged, used, or unrecognizable by the
Reader.
What to do: Insert a new FreeStyle Precision Neo test strip.
What it may mean: Reader is outside of its operating temperature range.
What to do: Move the Reader to a temperature between 50 °F and 113 °F and
then try to power it on.
Problem: The test does not start after applying the blood sample.
What it may mean: Blood sample is too small.
What to do:
1. See test strip instructions for use for re-application instructions.
2. Repeat the test using a new test strip.
3. If the test still does not start, contact Customer Service.
What it may mean: Sample applied after the Reader turned o!.
What to do:
