EN: BUOYANCY VEST - LEVEL 50.
Inherent buoyancy
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE - To be kept for future reference.
Practise using this equipment. Check the buoyancy aid before each use.
WARNING: Limited protection against drowning.
PLEASE NOTE: Do not remove the foams from the vest to ensure the
required buoyancy.
PLEASE NOTE: This product is a buoyancy vest; it is not a life jacket.
Buoyancy aids simply reduce the risk of drowning but are not guaranteed
to save lives.
This buoyancy vest is designed to be used during water-based activities
by good swimmers and those who find themselves near banks or the
coastline, or where help and rescue services are close by.
Never use this product in conditions that exceed your capabilities (such
as, but not limited to, big waves, riptides, currents and rapids).
Please practise using this equipment in the water at least once a year to
ensure it still provides suitable buoyancy.
These clothing items are compact, however their effectiveness is reduced
in rough waters and they cannot offer long-term protection. The buoyancy
provided is not adequate to protect persons not able to save themselves.
Active user participation is required. People must practise and be trained
to use and check the performance of this system before using it.
Teach children to float in this buoyancy aid. For children under 6 years,
use only automatic Personal Buoyancy Equipment.
Do not use as a cushion. This harness is not compatible with a safety
harness or other clothing or equipment.
WARNING: The product may not be fully effective when used with
certain waterproof garments or in other circumstances.
PLEASE NOTE: Life jackets/buoyancy aids reduce the risk of drowning!
They do not guarantee survival.
We recommend you replace your vest within 5 years of the manufacture
date indicated on the inside of your vest, when you use it in line with the
conditions described above.
Instructions for putting the vest on: 1: Put on the buoyancy vest by
passing your head through the neckline. 2: Fasten the side buckles. 3:
Adjust the shoulder straps. 4: Adjust the stomach straps. A well fitted
vest should remain in place during movements. Readjust the tightening
regularly during use and when entering the water.
Maintenance and storage: Rinse with clean water after every use and
hang out to dry in a dry, ventilated area, shaded from the sun and away
from heat sources. When used under standard conditions, check the vest
once a year and enter the dates on which care operations were comple-
ted in the table. Do not use a damaged vest - replace it.
Check the buoyancy aid before each use: Carry out a visual inspection of
your vest and make sure that the straps, buckles, fabrics and seams are
not damaged, and that the foams are not crushed.
Do not tumble dry. Do not dry clean. Do not iron. Do not bleach or
discolour. Do not modify the buoyancy aid.
